Ovarian Cancer Senior Clinician – Psychologist, Counsellor or Social Worker

Ovarian Cancer Australia is seeking a qualified and experienced Psychologist, Counsellor or Social Worker to support people during their ovarian cancer experience, from diagnosis to end of life.  We provide support Australia wide to those who need us.

About the role: 

  • Provide Australia wide support via telehealth as part of a psychosocial support team 
  • Provide counselling, education and self-management support to facilitate understanding and optimal health outcomes 
  • Co-ordinate the development, piloting and evaluation of new programs to address identified needs or service gaps 
  • Facilitate an online support group 
  • Record-keeping in line with privacy guidelines  
  • Provide reports and evaluations as required 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and form strong relationships and partnerships internally and externally
  • 12 months fixed term, part time, 0.6FTE (0.4-0.5 would be considered)

The successful candidate will have:

  • tertiary qualifications in psychology (must be a registered psychologist), counselling or social work and a registered member of AHPRA.
  • at least 5 years experience working with people with cancer (ovarian cancer experience desirable) or other chronic illness.
  •  appropriate expertise in psychological or counselling interventions; and
  • experience delivering counselling services via Telehealth.
