Youth Worker
Full Time – Permanent Opportunity

About the Role:
As a Youth Worker in the Lifestyle and Housing team you will be supporting young people who are residing in independent living in the Transitional Housing and Crisis Housing program. You will be exploring longer term housing options that can provide stability and be sustainable for the young person by supporting them to address any barriers they may have. You will also provide short term interim response support in identifying different housing options available to young people who are/at risk of homelessness. Across these areas you will further be supporting young people to build their capabilities in living independently and supporting them to work towards any identified goals.

We are looking for a hardworking and empathetic supportive housing worker who shares MOIRA’s values and is committed to empowering young people to work towards their goals. Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Tertiary qualification in youth work, counselling, community services or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years working with young people.
  • Direct capability in the delivery of services to young people.
  • Experience working within housing and homelessness (highly regarded) 

This role has been classified under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS) where Level 4 PP1 ($77,577) is the base level of the band and may progress up to Level 4 PP4 ($83,486).
