Northern Star have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Mine Surveyor (Underground) at our world-class, fast-paced Jundee operation located within the Yandal belt. This is a permanent opportunity, working an 8/6 roster.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Survey Mark Out of:
- Drill and blast rings.
- Mine heading development.
- Exploration drilling.
- Raise bore drilling.
Survey of completed works:
- End of month development and ore stockpiles.
- Stope surveys.
- Mine heading development.
- Geological mapping.
Support the Senior Mine Surveyor to complete:
- Survey Instructions; horizontal and vertical development.
- End of month surveys.
- Dig permits.
- Emergency Response Plans
Required skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Surveying or in Spatial Sciences
- Previous underground experience as a Mine Surveyor
- Deswick experience (highly regarded)
- Grade 1 is highly regarded
- Computer literacy – Microsoft suite
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to work unsupervised as required
- Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
- St Johns Senior First Aid certificate (desirable)
