Our therapeutic recovery centre in the Dandenongs provides a range of therapeutic, allied health, harm reduction and AOD services to clients from all backgrounds.
Paying up to $100 per hour plus $10000 in bonus’ per month – applications now being accepted.
Position Objective
The purpose of the position is to provide professional counselling within the abstinence and harm minimisation policy framework to deliver services to residential clients and after-care clients who suffer from stimulant abuse syndrome, alcohol abuse syndrome, gambling/work addictions to improve their health and well-being in the short to medium term for sustainable longer term abstinence.
In this position you will contribute to the provision of a safe and hospitable environment for clients voluntarily seeking rehabilitation from the acute use of alcohol and/or other drugs (primarily stimulants).

Key Responsibilities
- Provide private one on one counselling
- Supervise and provide assistance with the running of daily activities.
- Encourage client participation in program activities.
- Be a friendly ear to clients.
- Provide support and monitoring of clients.
- Record and document incidents as required.
- Some dispute resolution and incident deescalation.
- Other general and administrative duties as requested.

Basic Criteria for employment
All potential staff must meet each of the following criteria:
- Hold or have the ability to obtain a current Criminal History Check and Working with Children clearance
- Have an AOD Certificate 4 or higher, Counselling Degree or related degree
- Have current HTLAID001 & HTLAID003 certification
- Unlimited right to work and live in Australia.
