The Opportunity
headspace Hawthorn is seeking suitably qualified addition to the team, to provide support and counselling to young people aged 12-25 years, in a family inclusive service. This is a 1 year maternity Leave Fixed Term Contract.
Responsibilities
- Undertake assessment and evidence-based intervention to young people
- Deliver individual, group and family support
- Conduct case management/care coordination to a small number of young people with complex and chronic (moderate) risk
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy
- Demonstrated experience working in youth, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, community or similar health services (minimum two years’ experience is preferred)
- Current registration with AHPRA as a psychologist or registration with the AASW as a Social Worker/Mental Health Social Worker
- Experience and recognised training in clinical risk assessment and management (including suicide risk assessment)
- Medicare Registration Provider Number – Desirable
