Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner – Greater Sydney Area

About You
- You’re passionate about improving people’s lives
- You value mutual respect, empathy and collaboration
- You have tertiary qualifications in one of the following; psychology, ABA, speech pathology, occupational therapy, education, social work or related fields
- As a registered Advanced Practitioner, you have demonstrated the ability to mentor and support other behaviour support practitioners
- You have experience providing person-centred services
- You have experience in conducting functional behaviour assessments and plans for people with disability

About the role
- Lead by example, demonstrating AC’s values of respect, excellence, collaboration and engagement in their day-to-day actions
- Provide positive behaviour support to clients according to the NDIS National Quality and Safeguards Commission’s Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework
- Meet the service needs of clients and adhere to agreed timeframes as per service agreements.
- Understand the NDIS Quality and Safeguards (NQSC) Commission’s portal and lodgement of behaviour support plans containing restrictive practices.
- Understand the Restrictive Practice Authorisation ( RPA) system and have a good understanding of the NQSC Restrictive Practice PRODA portal.
- In collaboration with your team leader, develop your own individual learning and development plan (ILDP) and review these quarterly.
- Engage with, and maintain successful relationships within the community and with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Add value to the team by sharing knowledge, skills and resources informally, and formally via the AC PBS resource library.
- Contribute to the review and development of projects, policies and procedures to strengthen AC practice in consultation with the leadership team and other AC employees
