Coordinator – NDIS Core Supports (Psychosocial -Mental Health) Mentis Assist

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our vibrant and dedicated team has an exciting opportunity for a passionate mental health worker to join us in our mission to empower NDIS participants with a psychosocial disability to make the most of their NDIS plans.

This is a Team Coordinator role where you will use your NDIS and mental health knowledge and experience to lead a team of NDIS Support Workers.  The key functions of the role include:

  • intake and development of Service Agreements with participants 
  • Day to day leadership of the NDIS Core Support team, including supervision of Support Worker staff. 
  • Ensuring a high level of service delivery to participants, carers, and their families 
  • Identifying, monitoring and mitigating client and worker risks 

Our team of Support Workers are passionate about creating lasting changes for our NDIS participants. We work closely with our participants and our team members encourage and learn from each other to stay up to date with sector changes. The Coordinator, NDIS Core Supports works closely with the Roster team to ensure the best and most efficient service delivery. We are looking for someone who has:

  • qualifications in community services, mental health, social work, nursing or other allied health practice 
  • previous leadership role with NDIS experience or understanding 
  • a strong understanding of the needs of people living with a psychosocial disability 
  • a person-centered strengths based approach to service delivery 
  • excellent time management, budgeting and administrative skills 

We highly regard:

  • lived experience living with, or supporting someone with a mental health diagnosis 
  • the ability to think innovatively and creatively to help clients achieve their NDIS plan goals 
  • the ability to collaborate and negotiate with multiple stakeholders
