Do you have a passion to work in an innovative new program to help people cease or reduce smoking? Are you ready for a new professional challenge?

The role of the Smoking Cessation Counsellor is to provide specialist information, advice and individualised counselling to assist people who smoke and wish to reduce or cease.

Our integrated service model means you’ll provide your specialist expertise as part of a holistic solution for patients. You’ll be applying your talents and efforts in ways that make a genuine difference to people in your community.

To be successful, you will require;

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in community health, AOD and or social services.
  • Face to face and virtual counselling experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of concepts and theories of smoking behaviour and cessation.
  • Knowledge of health education/promotion.
  • Experience in a similar or related service.
  • Commitment to completed subsidised specialist smoking cessation training as required.
  • You are a non-smoker.
  • X3 doses of COVID-19 vaccination and an employee WWCC is required.
