About the role:
The Tutor will assist Lecturers in the teaching and assessment of subjects included in the Master of Counselling or Bachelor of Counselling. Based at the Institute’s Higher Education campus in Fortitude Valley, the position will work closely with the Academic Team in the delivery of external Master of Counselling higher education subjects. This position is a full-time continuing position (with 6 months’ probation). Work hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Duties and responsibilities:
The main duties and responsibilities of the role include:
- Marking assessments (written and practical) in accord with approved marking criteria and moderation policies.
- Providing study assistance to external students online, over the phone and via email.
- Maintaining paperwork and files as required for position responsibilities.
- Ensuring all student assessments are marked to appropriate standards within timeframes.
- Liaising effectively with staff and students.
Skills and Experience:
To perform effectively in the role, the successful Tutors will have:
- A post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline (mandatory requirement).
- Demonstrated knowledge in counselling or other closely related fields.
- Current membership (or eligibility) with a Counselling Association.
