JOB DESCRIPTION

Prace College is seeking experienced & dedicated Assistant Principal – Reservoir Campus

You will be part of a dynamic team passionate about leading staff and helping students to achieve their goals through education. The role requires dedicated professionals to maximise student engagement and learning outcomes.

Prace College provides the supportive, flexible and inclusive education to meet the needs of young people within the community, and to support them to participate in learning, community and work activities. We are a not-for-profit organisation. 

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor or Education or equivalent (essential)
  • Masters in a complimentary discipline such as Special Education, Psychology, Social Work (desirable)
  • First aid (desirable)

Selection Criteria

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification – teaching, welfare or social work- Masters or higher preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in management of innovative, community based Senior Secondary Programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current issues affecting young people, and a proven ability to maintain discipline, build and maintain positive relationships with students, including understanding and relating to them perceptively and sympathetically.
  • Evidence of successfully developing teams of staff, including delegating effectively and managing change.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the current financial, regulatory and accountability requirements of independent schools.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively, anticipate and solve problems.
  • Excellent networking skills
