About our role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Behaviour Consultant (BCBA) to join our centre based early intervention (EIBI) program – Little Learners in Lane Cove. 

In this role, you will support a number of clients and their families through developing therapy programs based on Applied Behavioural Analysis. Your clients will be elected to align with your strengths, and you will be provided with regular mentoring and support from our experienced Clinical team.  As you grow in the role, you will be exposed to more challenging cases, extending your supervisory skills and professional growth. 

 Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a Behaviour Consultant/Program Supervisor
  • Previous experience in a Behaviour Therapist role, with developed responsibility
  • Current valid Drivers License
  • Current valid police check or ability to obtain
  • Working with Children’s Check or ability to obtain
  • Masters level education in a relevant field of study or working toward this
  • Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) qualification, or working toward this

Duties and responsibilities

  • Design and implement curriculum for individual students
  • Formulate and implement behaviour intervention plans, including Functional Behaviour Assessments
  • Work across different settings, including Early Intensive Behavioural Intervention (EIBI) centres, schools, and the client’s home
  • Conduct observations and provide recommendations to staff in educational settings
  • Direct intervention with clients
  • Take, monitor and analyse student data
  • Train and develop Therapist team on ASD and ABA
  • Facilitate team meetings, family clinics and workshops
  • Collaborate with parents, professionals and other stakeholders
  • Work respectfully and effectively with parents, using the Family Skill Building approach
