Guided by our HelpingMinds purpose & Values, this role aims to provide services that strengthens a carer’s ability and capacity to support the person with a serious and persistent mental illness to live in the community, and to maintain and improve their quality of life, and to promote the carer’s/family’s own wellbeing.

About You:
This is an opportunity for a client focussed Family Support Counsellor with a genuine interest in working collaboratively to ensure effective team goals and client outcomes are met. We are looking for someone who has the ability to work autonomously with a demonstrated ability to consult, liaise and maintain close working relationships with other service providers.
Minimum qualifications:
- Tertiary Degree in Counselling, Psychology or Social Work
- National Police Clearance (valid within 6 months), Working With Children Check, Current Drivers License
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- A current Covid-19 Vaccine in line with HelpingMinds policy, WA Government Health Directions and Public Health Orders, the successful candidate will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and as such will need to provide evidence of their COVID-19 Vaccination status prior to commencement.

Remuneration and Benefits include:
- Base salary: $68,471- $83,572 per annum pro rata (depending on experience)
- Generous superannuation contributions starting at 11%, increasing to 12% once reaching one year of continuous service
- Generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum
- Professional development and support around training opportunities
- Great annual leave entitlements starting at 5 weeks per year (pro rata). Increasing to six weeks (pro rata) once reaching three years of continuous service
- Two additional wellness days per year to support your own mental health. Increasing to three days at three years of contusions service (pro rata)
