We are in the market for an experienced and passionate Learner Diversity and Student Wellbeing Lead to ensure the cohesive planning and delivery of professional learning across Catholic Schools Broken Bay (CSBB).
Reporting to the Senior Lead: Student Enablement and Engagement, this is a newly created role responsible for leading our recently combined team of experienced and passionate learner diversity and student wellbeing professionals. As a Lead, you will be influential in shaping a culture of collaborative continuous improvement in supporting and taking forward our “Towards 2025” strategy objectives.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity.

About You
- Building capacity, and ensuring cohesion and collaborative case management within your team, as well as leading the integration of contemporary practices by school leaders and teachers that are inclusive and respond to the needs of students with disabilities and additional needs
- Collaborating with others to design, implement, monitor and evaluate high quality professional learning
- Building teacher and school leader knowledge of the Disability Discrimination Act, Disability Standards and the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data for students with disabilities
- Having oversight of NCCD reporting requirements
- Reporting system and school data to identify areas of significant need, effective performance and emerging issues in student wellbeing and learner diversity
- Managing the processes of medical and other student funding support and coordinating staffing and internal budgets and approvals
- Collaborating with school and system leaders in identifying key priorities and future actions for innovation, improvement and change in student wellbeing for learning and learner diversity
- Liaising with Broken Bay agencies and other specialist providers in education, health and other sectors who are supporting students with a disability, additional needs and wellbeing
About You
- Supportive of, or can demonstrate an understanding and commitment to, the ethos of the Catholic faith in an educational context
- Knowledge of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers as they apply to learner diversity and wellbeing
- Understanding of learner diversity and student wellbeing within a school and system context
- Has led a diverse learning and/or student wellbeing for learning team in a large school or system
- Has worked at the practitioner level within a diverse learning and/or student wellbeing for learning team
- Can apply a comprehensive outlook and understanding of the authentic Catholic education within the broader context of the Church, community and educational contexts that promotes an inclusive approach to the education for all students
- Demonstrates an understanding of strategic thinking and practices
- NESA approved undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Teaching or Education
- Postgraduate qualification in relevant area
- Relevant professional accreditation
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence (and own car required)

New position on COVID-19 vaccinations
Given the current management of risks associated with COVID-19 in the community, and the gradual wind-back of some settings, CSBB has decided to no longer require all staff to be fully vaccinated, effective 19 September 2022. Staff who are not vaccinated will be required to wear masks when working with children at greater risk of serious illness owing to a medical condition and/or physical disability.
