About the Role
Education and service development support: You will be responsible for providing education and service development support to mental health services in Victoria’s public health system in order to improve quality of service delivery to people from diverse backgrounds.
Duties:
- Act as a consultant for mental health services implementing cultural responsiveness strategies in service delivery.
- Facilitate a range of education, mentoring and coaching direct support activities and external meetings as well as information events.
- Participate in all internal planning meetings, reviews and quality activities.
- Collect and develop transcultural mental health resources for practitioner education and professional development.
- Develop, deliver and evaluate state-wide service development activities.
The classification ranges for this position will be:
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 4 (NP75-NP77) – $98,800 – $109,200.
- Occupational Therapist Grade 3 (YB24 – YB27) – $93,860 – $107,234.40
- Social Worker Grade 3 (YC46 – YC49) – $93,860 – $107,234.40
- Psychologist Grade 3 (PL1 – PL4) – $100,037.60 – $113,911.20
Your Contribution/selection criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in a health related field is essential. Degree in a mental health discipline preferable (registered psychologist, occupational therapist, social worker or registered nurse Division 1 or 3)
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in mental health, or equivalent in mental health related education
- Knowledge and expertise working with culturally diverse communities
- Experience facilitating and designing workshops and education activities
- Experience of service design and develop
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
