Our team is servicing the communities of Sydney CBD, Eastern Suburbs, Lower North Shore, Northern Beaches and Inner West. We accept and treat wide variety of patients mainly private consultations with Private Health Insurances, 30% load is defence and veteran members, remainder 20% load is comprised of worker compensation and motor vehicle accidents patients.

Clinics are located at Potts Point, Chatswood, Burwood and Northern Beaches. 
 

The Role 
The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for undertaking individual assessments and providing focused psychological strategies for a diverse range of clients with mental health needs. This role works collaboratively with key stakeholders including Pain Specialist, General Practitioners, other Allied Health service providers, government and non-government organisations to ensure high quality outcomes for clients.

The Clinical Psychologist also liaises with referring Specialists, GPs and (as required) other health professionals to provide patient care in the area of mental health-specifically in the development and review of care plans, and participating in case conferences as outlined in the Enhanced Primary Care Guidelines.

You will deliver psychoeducation regarding the nature of mental health and associated problems, make available information services, and avenues of access to such services.

The Clinic manager will assist and support you to build your own referral bases, accepting clients from many of our local General Practitioners as well as receiving some referrals from our Pain Specialist. 

 

Selection Criteria

  1. Full registration with AHPRA as clinical psychologist
  2. Eligibility to register as a Medicare provider
  3. Experience providing evidence-based interventions
  4. Great communication skills
  5. Desirable skills: Pain-CBT or ACT, Trauma therapy (such as EMDR)
