The Allied Health CoLab (TAHC) is part of Your Best Life Disability and Health Services Ltd (YBLDHS), a thriving not-for-profit organisation that grew from the iconic and long-standing Children’s Therapy Centre following the introduction of the NDIS. YBLDHS now offers The Allied Health CoLab (including Mindcare MHS, Children’s and Teens’ Therapy Services), LevelUp Independent Living, Your Choice Plan Management and ThumbsUp Support Coordination. 

As the Sunshine Coast’s own not for profit organisation, YBLDHS is leading the development of diverse and inclusive disability support services in the region. We are client-led, open to great ideas, innovative, and collaborative.

We have centres in Maroochydore, Nambour, Kawana, Caboolture, and Gympie with bespoke hubs in Baringa and Gympie with further expansion planned. Our telehealth services are sought by clients across the region and across Australia.

TAHC primarily supports NDIS participants whose goal is to optimise independent living, community participation and supports people impacted by a mental health condition. We also see private, WorkCover, National Injury Insurance and Medicare funded clients, as well as clients referred by organisations such as the PHN.

With our support your role will:

  • work collaboratively with other team members
  • maintain client records as required by the NDIS and other funding streams
  • comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct and Professional Code of Ethics and Conduct
  • undertake organisational training and professional development
  • participate in professional supervision
  • be client-centred, collaborative, creative and inclusive
  • deliver evidence-based behavioural, developmental and cognitive therapy and assessment services
  • carefully plan interventions and evaluate outcomes
  • and/or author high quality positive behaviour support plans and train implementing providers and key stakeholders in positive behaviour support strategies

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology and AHPRA Registration as a Psychologist or eligibility as a Provisional Psychologist
  • Hold a NDIS Practitioner ID and a minimum Core Competency through the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
  • Knowledge of, or ability to acquire knowledge of, assessment tools to support clinical reasoning
  • Ability to work with others and positively contribute to teamwork and values
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet client needs either via our Telehealth Service, from one or more of our therapy centres and/or providing an outreach service across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay.
  • Safety screening including National Police Check, and Current Queensland Driver’s Licence

Regardless of your experience, you will be paid an above-award base salary.

As a not for profit company with PBI status, we offer attractive Salary Sacrificing up to $15,900 each FBT year as well as an entertainment card, up to four electronic purchases per annum, and novated lease for a new or late model car.
