Psychologist – Educational and Developmental (working with children)

Private Practice 

We are a large Psychology Practice in the Bayside area of Melbourne (Cheltenham) looking to expand our team of 15 experienced psychologists. We have over 27 years’ experience in private practice. The position would suit a psychologist with a strong interest in children’s issues (aged 3-18) including assessments and who holds a Masters Degree in Educational and Developmental Psychology. We have over 27 years’ experience in private practice providing high-quality, evidence-base treatment and assessment for a range of presenting issues. We maintain an excellent community and corporate reputation. We offer a generous remuneration structure taking into consideration experience and qualifications of the successful applicant(s).

  • Immediate client case load – ongoing stream of referrals
  • Generous remuneration structure – up to $153 per consultation for subcontractors
  • Minimal bulk billed clients (we are not a bulk billing clinic)
  • Full time reception support (team of 3)
  • Practice Management software
  • Flexible hours (no minimum clients per day)
  • Regular peer supervision and ongoing support
  • 9 comfortable and fully furnished consulting rooms
  • Active and strategic marketing
  • Well established relationships and networks with schools and medical practices
  • Experienced psychologists with a great team culture

What we are looking for:

  • Experienced psychologist – Educational and Developmental Masters preferred
  • Early career psychologists and graduates are also encouraged to apply
  • Ability to work some after hours each week
  • Willingness to work within a collaborative team
  • Psychologist with a client focused approach

Position requirements:

  • Doctoral/Masters level qualifications in Psychology – Educational and Developmental Masters preferred
  • Registration as a psychologist with AHPRA
  • Eligibility for registration with Medicare 
  • Professional Indemnity insurance and your own ABN 
  • Working with Children’s Check
