About the Role/s
There are three programs where support is required:
Mental Health (including headspace) x2
Commissioning: Chronic Conditions, Alcohol & Other Drugs & other x1
Aged Care Navigation Support (Care Finder) x1
The purpose of the Program Development Consultants positions is to support the organisation to commission services through the design, development, monitoring and evaluation of pieces of work within these programs.
The roles will be responsible for the day-to-day activities in the management of project and program contracts with service providers. The Program Development Consultants will work closely with Senior Manager for Aged Care/Manager of Service Delivery/Manager Mental Health .
Duties
- Engage and coordinate internal and external stakeholders including other PHNs, clinical and management staff of commissioned services, and consumers.
- Performance monitoring of WVPHN commissioned providers.
- Provide information/data as required to support collaboration with other WVPHN Teams

Skills & Experience
- Tertiary level qualifications in a health, aged care, or community related discipline, Health Promotion, Health Social Sciences or Health Service Planning, Public Health, community development or related discipline and 2+ years relevant experience; or minimum five years of prior relevant experience in projects/programs management; or minimum five years’ experience in PHN or similar organisation.
- Strong project management and program development skills with demonstrated experience with complex project/program coordination
- Well-developed skills and ability to form effective professional relationships with stakeholders, government representatives and key professional bodies, and develop and maintain networks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including report writing skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with a level of functional autonomy and as part of a program team across teams, geographies and within delegated authorities.
Employment requirements:
- Be prepared to undergo a National Police Check, prior to appointment
- A current Victorian driver’s licence
- Evidence of current COVID-19 vaccinations
