Who are we?
Care For Your Mind is a small private practice counselling and psychotherapy clinic located in Bendigo, Victoria.
We are informed by the belief that people deeply engage and begin to see significant change when they are seen, heard, validated, and understood.
We work by incorporating a “whole-brain” approach to our work which focuses on relational, sensory, and emotional safety.
Our treatment focus is person-centred and evidence based with the understanding that the driver of lasting change is determined by the strength of the therapeutic relationship.
We are passionate about putting the “humanness” back into mental health care and we are looking for mental health practitioners that are also incredibly passionate about what they do.
What we provide:
- 70/30 fee split paid weekly
- Administrative services – taking client calls, booking appointments, rescheduling and cancellations
- Billing and payments – client billing, payment, liaison with NDIS, Medicare, Victims of Crime and other third-party funders where applicable
- Flexible working arrangements – Time/ days of the week to suit you

Who are we looking for?
You’re a calming presence with a passion about putting the “humanness” back into mental health care. You’re looking to either start out in your career as a new graduate or you’re an esteem clinician looking for a practice that is trauma- informed, progressive, vibrant and growing!
You have/are:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in psychology, counselling, psychotherapy or occupational therapy
- Experience in working with children, young people, families and adults
- Relevant professional and public indemnity insurance
- Full registration with APHRA or PACFA/ACA (Clinical or level 4 registration)
- Highly emotionally intelligent, compassionate and have an enthusiasm for supporting people
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously
- Ability to provide services under Medicare (not essential)
- Current ABN, working with children and police check
- A commitment to professional development and adherence to professional supervision requirements as stipulated by your registration body
Key tasks/ responsibilities
Within this role you will be responsible for:
- Provision of therapy to children, young people, adults and families in a private practice setting
- Ability to effectively manage your caseload
- Preparation of letters and reports as needed
- Liaison with external services and primary referrers
- Advocating for clients and making ethically and clinically informed recommendations, as required
- Ability to deliver outstanding evidence-based, trauma informed and person-centred care
