- On-call rostering regime, Mon-Fri 0600-1800hrs

Responsibilities
- Client organisation will consult with counsellor’s regarding critical incidents. Counsellors may then be required to provide support services on-site with affected employees.
- Identify and follow up risk issues as required
- Refer clients to external (e.g. primary care, stepped care, specialist agencies, GPs) as appropriate
- Undertake additional duties as directed by management in accordance with grade
About You
- Ongoing full accreditation under a national counselling registration board. (Acceptable accrediting bodies include Australian Register of Counsellors & Psychotherapists Association & AHPRA)
- Minimum 2 years full time counselling experience.
- Willingness to be on call with the potential for on-site call outs.
- Be residing within 60 minutes of Melbourne CBD.
- Tertiary qualification in counselling or similar.
- Experience in counselling for separation & relationship issues, bereavement, drug, and alcohol
- Knowledge and experience in providing culturally appropriate care.
- A sound understanding of the principles, language and actions required to deliver an inclusive service
- Developed experience in trauma-informed practice and a client-centred, collaborative approach.
- Knowledge of health and community service systems/programs
- Crisis response or critical incident counselling experience desirable, but not essential.
- The position requires you to be fully vaccinated against Covid- 19.
