We seek occupational therapists, clinical psychologists, and psychologists to join our team at the “Family Nurture” clinic on the Gold Coast. These positions are an exciting opportunity to join our growing specialist psychiatry, psychology, and allied health practice, bringing your passion and drive to a friendly multidisciplinary team.
Our practice is a new and growing specialist mental health practice in Pacific Pines, Gold Coast. We have eight consulting rooms. We have started with a few psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, and General Practitioners at the practice and are awaiting others to join us gradually in the next few months.

The “Family Nurture” clinic is open 8 am-5 pm, but from early 2023, it will extend its hours to 8 am-8 pm and Saturdays, 8 am-1 pm, to provide more flexibility for families and clinicians.

- You will be able to work as a contractor on a percentage rate for using all equipment, including new computers, training rooms, observation rooms with a recording system and one-way mirror, and administration support.

- The clinic has all the testing materials, forms, manuals, etc., that you need for your work regardless of being employed or a contractor.

The Role
We are looking for dynamic and highly organised therapists to join our Multidisciplinary Team. In these roles, you will:
- Complete clinical and functional assessments and develop and implement individual therapy plans
- Deliver direct therapy at the clinic but, if required, across various environments, including home, school, and out in the community.
- Develop and deliver specialist therapy groups across various skills
- Provide training and coaching for families
- Have opportunities to implement specialist programs and curriculum development across different program
- Using clinical observations and standardised assessments and interpreting findings to formulate treatment goals
To be successful in this position, you will have the following attributes: –
- Current tertiary qualification related to your role
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Current Professional Indemnity Cover
- Eligibility to register with Medicare
- A strong work ethic
- High motivation and a can-do approach
- Strong organisational skills and an ability to prioritise
- Experience working with children and/or adolescents and confidence in your role with children and their parents. (We currently see mostly children and adolescents, but we will expand the service in 2023 to adults.
- Dedication and passion for working as part of a dynamic team
- Interest in working with children, young person and their families with a range of neurodevelopmental disorders, including ASD
- Experience delivering services under the NDIS (preferred but not required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially high-quality report writing
- Experience in working with children and/or adults with disability and their families
- High-level communication skills
- Provide assessment and ongoing therapy to support children, adolescents and families who are experiencing challenges in the following areas: Developmental delay, Early intervention, social skills, Autism Spectrum Disorder and more.
Other Requirements
- Current C Class Driver’s License (Qld)
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA) is mandatory.
- Satisfactory Police Check
- Adhere to Government regulations regarding COVID vaccination requirements
