This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, experienced family safety practitioner at our Sunshine centre to join Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV).

About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager Western Melbourne, this position offers support to families who present with multiple risk factors or complex needs characterised by family violence to achieve workable parenting arrangements outside of the Family Court system.
Your responsibilities include conducting telephone psycho-social assessments regarding the safety and well-being of participants involved in the family dispute resolution process. You are also an information and referral source for the whole of family’s immediate and ongoing safety needs, making appropriate referrals as required.
This role is located in Sunshine and is part-time for three (3) days per week in a temporary position covering community services relief until 22 December 2023.
Skills, experience and qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work or a related social science discipline.
- Previous demonstrated experience of a commitment to advocating and enhancing family safety and to living non-violently.
- Significant experience working with parents and children affected by family violence.
- Significant experience in undertaking whole of family psycho-social assessments and safety plans.
- Significant knowledge and experience of the Family Law System, intersectionality with family violence and child protection.

A competitive salary package is on offer to the successful candidate with a base salary range of $95k-$98k (pro-rata) per annum, superannuation and access to salary packaging.
