Executive leadership position

Salary package of $250k+, plus bonus, reasonable relocation costs and extensive employee benefits!

Reporting to the Managing Director, as a member of the executive leadership team you will be responsible for the strategic direction, implementation, and evaluation of GEO’s Continuum of Care model. You will ensure that all programs and services are evidenced-based, align with best practice, contribute to enhanced community reintegration outcomes and a reduction in recidivism. You will lead the research and evaluation team and develop and maintain close working relationships with clients, stakeholders and other contractual authorities. You will further provide support to Centre General Managers with the recruitment, training and ongoing supervision of their Rehabilitation and Reintegration Managers and Vocational Services Managers.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Post-graduate tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Criminology, Social Sciences or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years leadership and management experience in a custodial or similar setting.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, preferably in an offender rehabilitation or community support role.
  • Proven experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of rehabilitation and reintegration services.
  • Ability to contribute to the philosophical, strategic and operational development of rehabilitative and reintegration services aligned to the Continuum of Care Model.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgetary, financial and human resource management including strategic / business planning, integration and evaluation skills to ensure available resources are used effectively.
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills (including analytical, conceptual, problem solving, negotiation and change management) to ensure relationships are built and maintained with relevant staff and stakeholders to support high quality services and professional practice.
  • Ability to plan, budget and implement major projects.
  • Capacity to travel to correctional centers and to meet with Clients or key stakeholders.
