Our product is a panel of allied health and medical specialists that provide assessment services to assist various stages of the personal injury lifecycle. One of our company, Vocational Capacity Centre, is looking for Vocational Psychologist.

 

About the Vocational Capacity Centre

 

Vocational Capacity Centre, founded in 1991, is a leading provider of comprehensive employability assessments of persons with injuries and disabilities. We offer a multidisciplinary approach to assessing a claimants injuries and subsequent effects on their employment prospects.

 

We provide medical, functional and vocational assessments, labour market analysis, as well clinical psychological and domestic assistance assessments.

In fact, our ideal candidate for this role would be a professional who is already doing other work and would like to work 1 or 2 days a week for assessments.

 

VCC will provide the successful applicant with initial professional support and feedback along with other formal training as required. Our standards are high, however we offer a very positive work environment with a collegiate atmosphere in which to develop your skills and be appropriately

 

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

 

  • Registered Psychologist under AHPRA – preferably NSW Registration
  • Undergraduate Degree in Psychology that is recognised by APHRA and APS and preferably a Postgraduate qualification in Psychology (Masters and/or PhD)
  • Either a member of, or proof that they are eligible to join either the (in order of preference):

 

Australian Psychological Society (APS)
College of Clinical Psychology
APS College of Organisational Psychology
College of Clinical Neuropsychology

 

  • A person who has 5 years Full time equivalent demonstrated Clinical experience
  • A person experienced in writing psychology reports – preferably in the medico-legal context. Candidate supplying de-identified copies of sample reports would be advantageous.
  • Medico-legal / Expert witness experience for both plaintiff and defence is desirable not essential.
