The Mental Health Programs Manager is a key leadership position within the Open Minds Maroochydore hub and provides oversight into the coordination and delivery of all services and contributes to the vision, strategic planning, and policy development.
As Mental Health Programs Manager, your primary responsibilities will be to provide clinical oversight and management to the Maroochydore hub staff, and to manage our three PHN commissioned programs.
Your role will be to assist in the development of a strong team culture and provide practice leadership to the team through engagement in clinical and caseload reviews and ensuring staff are provided with appropriate supervision. Our office is in Maroochydore, and we offer quality Complex Mental Health services within the Maroochy and Gympie area.
Open Minds has a collective of PHN commissioned MH services which we deliver via both place-based care and outreach . This has allowed us to deliver a stepped care model for severe and complex clients. These services include:
- Commonwealth Psychosocial Supports: providing psychosocial recovery-based, case management for those with mental illness who are currently not in receipt of the NDIS
- The Way Back Support Service: providing non-clinical support for people following a suicide attempt.
- Clinical Care Coordination: providing clinical care coordination to clients with severe and complex clinical mental health and psychosocial needs.
About you:
You will be an innovative and inclusive leader with considerable knowledge and experience in mental health service delivery. We’re also looking for
- Tertiary level qualifications in a Mental Health discipline including social work, psychology, mental health nursing or occupational therapy. Postgraduate qualifications are desirable.
- Current full registration with (AHPRA) or full membership with (AASW)
- Demonstrated experience and advanced level clinical skills in a range of mental health service settings
- Experience in complex clinical triage, assessment, diagnosis and treatment options.
- Experience in crisis management
- Experience in managing a large team of MH clinicians /professionals.
- Financial expertise and competence managing P&Ls, experience in contract management.
- Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
