Byron Central Hospital has an exiciting opportunity for a Mental Health Professional to join their team.Working in partnership with children and young people, carers and primary care providers to deliver an evidence based response to young people aged 12-18 years with or at risk of serious mental illness. Working towards extending the service to encompass children and adolescents aged 0-18 years with or at risk of serious mental illness.
Working therapeutically with children and young people with complex or high needs who may be difficult to engage and their families or carers, as well as organising referrals to appropriate services
If you have/are:
- Relevant qualification in Bachelor of Occupational Therapy registered with AHPRA or relevant qualification in Social Work with eligibility for membership to Australian Association of Social Workers; OR Registered with AHPRA and full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia; OR Registered Nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with a postgraduate qualification and with a minimum of at least 3 years’ full time equivalent experience in the clinical specialty (mental health)
- Clinical experience in the provision of assessment and treatment services in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health setting and knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act, the NSW Mental Health Competence Standards and National Practise Standards for Mental Health Workforce.
