Lives Lived Well is a leading support organisation for people who have problems with alcohol and drugs as well as other addictions such as gambling and associated mental health issues. We provide support services including residential rehabilitation and community counselling in more than 50 locations across Queensland and NSW.

About the Opportunity 

This is a full time contract position until the end of September 2024 for a Treatment Facilitator to join our Residential Service, Mirikai which is based at Burleigh Heads on the beautiful Gold Coast. 

The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 or 8:30am to 4 or 4:30pm, 4 days a week and 1 to 9pm once a week.

As part of the residential team, the Treatment Facilitator undertakes case management, provides Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) counselling, facilitates group programs and contributes to the day to day functioning of the residential community.

Specifically, you will undertake the following tasks in this position:

  • Provide high quality engagement, assessment and support services to clients, and their families
  • Manage a case load of clients providing clinical support, service coordination, referral and advocacy to assist client in achieving their goals
  • Facilitate group work and processes autonomously, including helping to develop program materials.

The salary range for the role is gross $88,761 to $92,773 annually plus super plus salary packaging.

Additionally, you will possess the following:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in social work, counselling or mental health
  2. Applied knowledge in contemporary evidence based AOD clinical practice
  3. Experience working in a residential treatment service delivery
  4. Sound knowledge of the potential risk elements specific to this type of environment
  5. Experience in developing and delivering education programs and group facilitation.
  6. Highly developed communication and engagement skills.
