JOB DESCRIPTION

CheckUP is an independent not-for-profit organisation dedicated to creating healthier communities and reducing health inequities. They focus on the design and facilitate the delivery of efficient and effective healthcare solutions close to home for those who need it most connecting the right people and organisations to deliver a range of innovative healthcare services for hard-to-reach individuals and communities. Services and initiatives support people living in rural and remote geographical areas as well as those with poor access due to social or economic barriers.

To further advance and support the First Nations health sector, CheckUP is recruiting a new Industry workforce advisor to work closely with the Aboriginal medical sector and extended partners in the delivery of workforce planning, skilling, and development initiatives. The role will work alongside small to medium Organisations to identify opportunities for workforce capacity building, implementing systems and processes that will business objectives to be achieved.

Key skills required for the role:

  • Strong relationship management and engagement skills
  • Understanding of workforce planning processes and supporting tools/systems
  • Experience and understanding of the social determinants impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health

Working as part of a small, collaborative team, this role will work flexibly to enable workforce solutions to be delivered First Nations Organisations in both urban and regional settings. Key stakeholders will include Government agencies responsible for the delivery of supporting grants to enable workforce opportunities and development to be realised.
