About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic applicant for the role of Coordinator Alcohol and Drug Support Service.
All Mental Health Commission employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to access community care facilities, pursuant to the Community Care Services Worker (Restrictions on Access) Directions (Directions), and the Remote Aboriginal Community Worker (Restrictions on Access) Directions, unless the employee is exempt pursuant to the Directions.
About the role: The Alcohol and Drug Support Service provides a number of state-wide telephone counselling, information, referral and support lines for anyone concerned about their own or another person’s alcohol, drug or mental health issues. The Coordinator Alcohol and Drug Support Service is responsible for the development and coordination of the Alcohol and Drug Support Service (ADSS) support lines. You will undertake recruitment, coordination, rostering, training, support and supervision of ADSS counsellors and peer practitioners and will also ensure effective promotion of ADSS. This position has been established to support the expansion of the Alcohol and Drug Support Service and will work closely with the current Coordinator Alcohol and Drug Support Service. Shift work may be required as part of this role.
