Domestic and Family Violence Perpetrator Counsellor South Burnett CTC Inc

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a full time Domestic and Family Violence Perpetrator Counsellor to join our Domestic and Family Violence team.

This position will provide individual and group counselling and support to people who have perpetrated violence who are connected to the community of Cherbourg.

Applicants must provide a resume, referee details and covering letter outlining how they meet the following broad requirements of the position:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology or a related field OR related qualification supported by significant, relevant experience
  • Strong connections to the Cherbourg community and the ability to work in a culturally sensitive way at all times
  • Experience in working with people in high-risk domestic violence situations
  • Experience in compiling case notes, safety plans, risk assessments and support plans and maintaining them on a database system within strict timeframes
  • Working with Children Blue Card
  • Qld Drivers Licence
  • First Aid and CPR Certificates
  • COVID-19 vaccination
