Your new role
As the Family Therapist within the Family Services program you will have the opportunity to utilise an integrated approach to strengthening family connections and supporting stability and nurturance for children. As the Family Therapist you will:
- Provide high quality, ethical and professional centre-based family therapy counselling services.
- Work collaboratively with all key stakeholders to ensure quality intervention for children and families.
- Build and maintain a professional network within the organisation and the North East Metropolitan Alliance.
- Ensure contemporary knowledge of relevant Government policy and programs at the local, state and federal levels
About you
- Appropriate post-graduate qualification in Family Therapy
- Minimum three to five years of practice experience as a Family Therapist
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in assessment, formulation and counselling interventions with children and their families.
- Able to manage a complex case load, undertake high level risk assessment and effectively intervene, prioritise and manage crisis situations.
- Ability to understand the complexity and diversity of our clients and ensure equitable, responsive and quality service.
- Ability to understand oneself, to appreciate difference and to build sustainable professional relationships with stakeholders a various levels.
