Meeting all Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD) responsibilities for the Safety Action Meeting (SAM) through the development of partnerships with other government and non government agencies, the timely gathering of relevant health information, attendance at the SAM and the sharing of information in accordance with relevant legislation and negotiating appropriate health responses for victims and their children who are at risk of serious/immediate threat from domestic and family violence.
If you have:
- Tertiary qualifications and where applicable, membership of the relevant association or registration with the relevant board in social work, psychology or other relevant qualification deemed suitable for the position and eligibility for membership of relevant professional body. To be appointed as a Level 4 Health Professional evidence must be provided of three years’ clinical experience and demonstrated experience of extensive specialist knowledge or a high level of broad generalist knowledge within the discipline as defined by the award definitions of a level 4 practitioner
- Demonstrated sound understanding of the NSW Health system, its demands and environment and expertise about a range of Health services and referral options for clients experiencing domestic and family violence
- Skills and experience in the use of high level professional judgement in complex situations along with a high level knowledge and understanding of domestic and family violence policies and legislation
- Demonstrated capacity to work in partnership with key multidisciplinary and interagency stakeholders to provide a victim and child protection focused response to domestic violence
