Your role:
Be part of the newly funded Adolescent Family Violence in The Home (AFVITH) Program. The AFVITH Practitioner is a SCHADS 6 role. 0.8 4 days per week and 2 roles available.
AFVITH is an evidence-informed service which aims to intervene early to reduce the prevalence and intensity of adolescent violence in the home it offers flexible and tailored support service.
The skills you will use day to day:
- Provide tailored interventions to provide safety, relationship strengthening and reduction in violence in the home through individual and group work.
- Work with families with adolescents (primarily aged between 12-17 years) who use family violence in the home.
- Repair and strengthen relationships.
- In home support to reduce conflict and improve communication.
- Planning and delivering family violence interventions, and knowledge of different impacts for victim/survivors and the ability to hold perpetrating behaviour to account.
- Knowledge and understanding of cultural sensitivities and demonstrated ability to engage and effectively work with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) children, young people and families.
- Your understanding of current legislation e.g. Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and The Child Wellbeing and Safety Act 2005 and the apply this to the position.

- You get a salary starting at around $97,000 plus super at full time
- This role is 4 days per week (pro rata above salary)
- Salary packaging is available up to $15,900 plus an entertainment card.

- Negotiable through the increments dependent upon experience.
