THE ROLE – The Families Building Connections program is inclusive of the family’s values (cultures, needs and challenges) in the assessment, planning and intervention stages aiming to increase the young person’s and the family’s motivation for change.
- Delivery of the Adolescent Building Connections Plus program component including case support and intensive case management to young people in the context of their family.
- Provide information and activities to promote understanding and education regarding family violence.
- To provide a safe environment for adolescent’s who use or are at risk of using family violence in the home.
- Utilise the Advantaged Thinking model when providing a contemporary coaching approach to case management.
- Provision of ongoing individual risk assessment, safety planning and behavioural management strategies for the adolescent and their family.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE – what you will bring;
- Demonstrated understanding of the impacts of Family Violence with a particular focus on adolescent family violence in the home.
- An understanding of the impacts of developmental trauma including a conceptual understanding of child developmental stages and needs.
- Demonstrated ability to work with adolescents presenting with high risk and difficult behaviours.
- Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence |Working With Children Check |Police Check
- Bachelor qualification in a related field. Minimum requirement of a Diploma of Community Services or other appropriate qualifications and experience relevant to this position.
