Lives Lived Well is a leading support organisation for people who have problems with alcohol and drugs as well as other addictions such as gambling and associated mental health issues. We provide support services including residential rehabilitation and community counselling in more than 40 locations across Queensland and NSW.

About the Service

Our Service Hub in Beenleigh offers counselling, case management and outreach to provide ongoing support for people on their journey to recovery.  We aim to provide our clients with a safe and comfortable environment where they are supported by skilled clinicians to develop their own road to recovery.

About the Role  

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who share our ethics and values and have a true passion for making a difference in their local community.

In this role, you will deliver individual and group-based counselling, case management and support services, as well as proactively assist and support clients with entry and exit from residential treatment when required. You will also deliver high-quality engagement via in-person and phone contact, guided by evidence-based practice.

Primary responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Provide high-quality engagement, assessment, counselling, case management and support services to clients and their families.
  • Develop, facilitate and evaluate therapeutic group programs aimed at achieving client readiness for AOD residential treatment
  • Manage a caseload of clients with varying levels of complexity, providing counselling support, service coordination, referral, and advocacy to assist in achieving their goals.

This is a part time contract, working 15.2 hours (2 days) per week with the possibility of increasing hours. The salary range for this role is between $77,577.76 – $90,658.88 (pro rata), commensurate with experience, skills and qualifications. 

About you

The successful candidate will share our passion and commitment to service delivery excellence. As a case manager, you will hold the highest level of integrity and professionalism in your practice. Additionally, you will possess the following:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in social work, counselling or mental health (or related discipline)
  2. Experience and knowledge in contemporary AOD counselling, case management and intake and assessment
  3. Demonstrated experience in facilitating groups.
  4. Experience in evidence-based modalities, including relapse prevention.
  5. Sound interpersonal skills, including a high standard of written and oral communication skills
  6. Ability to prioritise clinical and administrative duties, including the effective and efficient planning and organisation of a complex caseload
