JOB DESCRIPTION

Mind Matters Health is an approved Medicare, NDIS and WorkSafe provider. Mind Matters Health offers counselling and support to clients with mental health illnesses and challenges. 

At Mind Matters Health, we are currently looking for enthusiastic and driven Allied Mental Health Practitioners (including Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Nurses, and OTs) who can provide counselling and psychotherapy to people experiencing mental health issues. This offer is only suited for licensed professionals who have their own business, and have an ABN number. 

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in counselling and/or psychotherapy. 
  • License to practice. 
  • Your own ABN and business name. 
  • Your own Professional indemnity (PI) and public liability (PL) insurances. This is often included in your membership with your Professional Association Body. 
  • Ability to hold responsibility for your own bookings and case management.

  • Private therapy rooms in Doncaster East.
  • $85 to $90 per client session. 
  • Flexible hours on casual basis.
  • Recognition as a member of Mind Matters Health’s team.
  • Professional advertisement on Mind Matters Health website at no cost. This includes a photo of the successful candidate and a snapshot of their qualifications and their expertise, for more online visibility. 
  • Flexibility to run your own client group sessions, if you choose to do so.

More about the practice rooms:

  • Mind Matters Health is located in a secure apartment building in Doncaster East. Location is very close to public transport and there are no issues with parking. 
  • Mind Matters Health has two purpose-built therapy rooms, with sound proofing.
  • Rooms are operational 5 to 7 days a week, including weekends, to give people a working flexibility. 
  • Rooms are equipped with printers, monitors, desks, chairs, bookshelves, art equipment and appropriate lighting. 
  • One of the rooms contains a sand-tray and a sensory section. 
  • Common area contains a couch, big round table with 6 chairs, kitchen facility for tea and coffee, microwave, stove, grill and a fridge. Plates, cups and cutlery is also provided. 
  • Flexibility to run your own groups if needed, in the common area.
