The Opportunity

We are currently looking for an experienced Counsellor / Group Facilitator to join our Parenting Orders Program team based across our Ipswich, Logan offices and also WFH.

As part of your role, you will need to be comfortable to travel between Logan and Ipswich, you will also have the flexibility to work from home and provide an after hours zoom service delivery.

As a Counsellor, your primary role will be to provide assessment, counselling, psychoeducation, referrals, case management to parents, as well as co facilitation of the Business of Parenting Groupwork. The role may also provide support to children and families. 

What you’ll need

  • Degree in Psychology, Social Work or Behavioural Science from a recognised tertiary institution
  • Eligible for membership with APS; AASW; or PACFA
  • Experience in this sector is preferable, however we are open to those applicants that are keen to learn and have a great attitude!
  • Current Queensland Drivers Licence
  • Roadworthy and Insured Vehicle
  • Suitability Card for Child Related Employment (Blue Card)
  • Willingness to undergo a criminal history check
