Be. Recruitment is currently seeking a Social Worker or Counsellor to join a specialist homelessness program in Western Sydney. This program is aimed at working with clients whose tenancies are considered at risk that are referred by DCJ Housing.
This role will work directly with clients in a trauma informed way to support them clinically to address issues with their tenancies.
This role will play a vital part by assisting people with support ranging from safety planning, support planning, trauma informed counselling, therapy service intervention, and service navigation.
This position is being offered as a part time opportunity – 4 days per week.

The role:
- Engage consumers and develop trusting and professional relationships
- Engage consumers, using a strengths-based & trauma informed approach to complete a comprehensive mental health assessment.
- Provide evidence based and informed care from a holistic approach to support people to take active steps to address hoarding and squalor behaviours
- Work within a holistic framework taking into account the needs of consumers, family, carers and other members of the community in order to ensure tangible outcomes
Skills and experience required:
- Social Work or Counselling qualification
- Current NSW driver’s license is essential as this role involves outreach
- NSW Working With Children Check
