St John of God Social Outreach provides community and youth services to people who are experiencing disadvantage, particularly young people and those with mental health issues, to improve their health and wellbeing. Services and programs extend across Australia, in Western Australia, Victoria and New South Wales.

 

The Position

Our Raphael Service provides free specialised mental health services to parents and families in the perinatal and infancy stages up to a child’s fourth birthday. The service is based in the community and provided at no cost to clients.

We currently have opportunities available for enthusiastic and motivated Mental Health Clinicians (Clinical Psychologist, Psychologist, Registered Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist) to join our multidisciplinary team in Blacktown.

Experience working with parents, experiencing psychological, social and psychiatric problems during the perinatal period will be highly regarded.

Positions are being offered on a permanent part time or casual basis, with contracted hours negotiated with the successful candidates. Working hours are between 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

 

Selection Criteria 

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Relevant registration, qualification or membership
  • Registered Nurses must have experience working in mental health.
  • Experience and ability to provide a range of psychotherapeutic interventions to individuals, families and groups.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Valid Driver’s license with the ability to provide services different locations.
  • Eligible for a Medicare provider number.
