Main Duties
- You will have the opportunity to assist people to overcome emotional and mental health problems and become their best versions of themselves
- Support a wide range of clients including children, adolescents, adults and couples with everyday problems and psychological disorders
- Perform a range of assessments such as ADOS Assessments, ADHD assessments and cognitive testing
- Provide a range of interventions incl CBT, DBT, ACT & Schema therapy to support clients with achieving their goals
- Work with a multidisciplinary approach by liaising with other stakeholders to support client’s recovery, including General Practitioners, paediatricians, psychiatrists, allied health, schools and family members
- Opportunities to co-ordinate group programs – actively participate in case discussion, supervision and team activities – administrative tasks including case formulations, report writing, clinical notes, and preparing for subsequent sessions
Essential Requirements
- Registered with AHPRA
- Medicare registered (or eligible for registration)
- Willing to undertake a Working with Children check
- Eligibility for full/associate APS membership
- Eligibility for professional Indemnity insurance
- Experience & willingness to deal with a broad range of client issues, including children
- Enthusiastic & collegiate work style
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to build good rapport with clients and referrers
- Excellent time management & self-management skills
- Current driver’s licence and access to own vehicle
