Your Opportunity
The Drug and Alcohol Youth Service ‘DAYS’ is the only dedicated specialist withdrawal and residential rehabilitation service for young people in Western Australia. DAYS a key entry point to treatment for young people with alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues and offers a range of support, linking in with many excellent services.
This role will attract a passionate senior youth worker with sector significant strong experience in alcohol and drug case management and a strong track record in leading small teams or are ready to make that next step in their career, supporting the day-to-day operations of the Drug and Alcohol Youth Service and leading a team of Residential Youth Workers.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Respond to referrals and coordinate new client intake and allocations within the team
- Conduct reviews with a multi-disciplinary team of all young people accessing the service
- Maintain a caseload of service users and provide ongoing person-centred case management
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective operation in the community
- Lead and provide supervision of a small and diverse team of approximately 12 staff
- Coordinate and maintain a roster for service operations
Position Requirements
With a significant background in the child, youth & family and/or AOD sector, you will be confident in your case management and assessment processes. Other requirements include:
- A relevant diploma, university qualifications or demonstrated experience in the sector
- Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable young people
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and people management
- The ability to maintain and develop effective relationships with stakeholders
- Provide on-call support once every 5 weeks for one full week
- Full Drivers Licence
- Ability to provide evidence of up to date COVID-19 vaccinations
