THE ROLE

Working as part of the Maximising Capacity and RTW team, this exciting case management role is to pro-actively manage a portfolio of 55 – 130 week claims, provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders and support injured workers to recover and return to work.
Case Managers in this team work alongside designated specialist roles including a New Employment Specialist, Technical Specialist, Clinical Advisor, Mental Injury Specialist and our Mobile Case Managers, ensuring you and your portfolio of stakeholders are supported.
This is a full time, permanent role based in our Melbourne CBD with flexibility to work from home.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide workers compensation advice to stakeholders such as workers, employers and providers
• Undertake ongoing entitlement reviews in relation to weekly payments and medical expenses
• Assist the worker and employer with the claim process and providing support in the completion of relevant documents to ensure timely access to required services to support return to work and injury recovery
• Pro-actively manage rehabilitation providers and approval of rehabilitation plans
• Pro-actively proceed with appropriate case management to achieve the optimum outcome of early sustainable return to work for workers with reasonable claim costs
ABOUT YOU
- Experience managing claims in the workers compensation industry or personal injury environment
- Knowledge of the Victorian workers compensation scheme, legislation and policies
- High attention to detail and organisational skills
- High level of resilience and a willingness to hold complex conversations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Committed to supporting injured workers with their recovery and return to work
