About the role
This position is part of a team responsible for the delivery of the AOD Pathways Service, within our Richmond based Turning Point offices. AOD Pathways Service is an intensive practical support service for clients and carers who have urgent alcohol and drug treatment response needs and experiencing challenges associated with navigating and/or engaging with the local service sector. The focus of the work shall be accessing a range of social work clinical methods including telephone, direct and face-to-screen technology as part of the clinical role of AOD pathways and SPC intake.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Eligibility for membership of the AASW
- Evidence of current CPE, as per AASW requirements
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team and also work autonomously as required
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Sound theoretical knowledge of social work assessment and interventions in mental health.
- Demonstrated ability in the delivery and evaluation of a range of high quality psychology/social work services to consumers, families and carers within addiction health settings.
- Demonstrated experience in providing assessment, information and advice, referral and counselling including managing a client caseload.
- Proven ability in working as a specialist clinician within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills in addition to written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Computer literacy, with competence in the use of Microsoft Word for Windows, Excel, Access, Outlook and the Internet. This includes typing proficiency for the delivery of online services.
- Demonstrated commitment to supervised practice.
