Providing high quality clinical services and leadership as an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team for patients/clients of the Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD). As part of the Integrated Prevention and Response to Violence, Abuse and Neglect (IPARVAN) Service, Child Protection, Counsellors provide a tertiary counselling service to children, young people and families where child abuse and domestic violence has occurred.
If you have:
- Understanding of developmental or complex trauma, the dynamics of child abuse and neglect and the impact of maltreatment upon children, young people and their families
- Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work/caseload
