The Team:
Coordinate the work of a team of professionals who provide services to children and young people affected by family violence as part of the multidisciplinary Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) established through the Government’s Safe at Home initiative.
Coordinate the provision of specialist programs that incorporate multi-level assessments and interventions to address the needs of children and young people affected by family violence.
Contribute to the provision of an integrated response to children and young people affected by family violence in accordance with practice standards, agency policy and protocols.
Collaborate with related service providers and other sections of Government in the provision of services.
The Role:
- Coordinate and provide specialist services to children and young people affected by family violence that will assist with recovery from the effect of family violence.
- Provide day to day practical guidance, leadership, supervision and direction to members of a professional team that provides services to children and young people affected by family violence.
- Coordinate and provide services to both children and young people affected by family violence and to service providers that are consistent, effective, efficient, responsive and of the highest professional standard.
- Continually liaise and communicate with other teams within the service and relevant service providers.

Details of Appointment:
Permanent, full time, day work, position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Location:
Hobart, Tasmania
Base Salary: $96,689 to $114,391 per annum+ 10.5% superannuation
- Please note that access to salaries beyond $105,245 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2019
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $724 per annum for the ability to accrue fund up to five years
- Post graduate qualification salary advancement where applicable
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Degree in Social Work giving eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; or
- Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or
- Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Current Working with Children Registration

- Current Driver’s Licence

- serious drug offences
- crimes involving dishonesty
