Be. Recruitment is currently seeking a Provisional Psychologist for a specialist Youth Mental Health Program in the Western Sydney region. This role is open to new graduates and full training and mentorship will be provided. This fantastic opportunity will deliver therapeutic interventions, psychosocial supports and care coordination to young people aged 12-25 experiencing early psychosis. This role uses a recovery-based model to support clients to recover from mental illness and support family members.
Duties:
- Support clients through strength-based and recovery case management providing quality assessment, safety planning and care coordination to young people that are experiencing severe mental illness
- Design treatment plans
- Work in a multidisciplinary team to support clients both in the community and in the office
- Build key working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders such as Social Workers, Psychologist, GP’s and other Allied Health professionals
- Ability to effectively engage with clients and families
- Maintain clear and precise safety plans, support plans and assessments
- Demonstrated understanding of recovery principles
Skills and experience required:
- Provisional or General AHPRA registration
- Current NSW driver’s license is essential
- NSW Working With Children Check
