ABOUT THE ROLE
We are a community based not for profit organisation. Our vision is to contribute to the development of strong rural communities. We have a passionate workforce dedicated to helping those in need in our communities. A Rural Financial Counsellor supports business owners facing financial challenges.
Our ideal candidate will be someone with strong agri-business acumen and experience. Accounting, agricultural management or agri-banking experience and qualifications will be of benefit.
You will be working closely with the financial and wellbeing counselling team to provide support and guidance to the agri-business community in Western Victoria.
KEY TASKS
The key duties and responsibilities of the role are-
- Develop strong relationships with key community stakeholders
- Providing financial guidance and business planning support
- Preparation of cash flows and other financial instruments as required
- Working with your community to provide strong referral networks for clients
- Assist clients to access grant and other programs.

This positions will be based close to any of the following locations -Bendigo or Swan Hill. This job entails some travel throughout Western Victoria and working remotely from home. You will be supplied with a car and the necessary equipment to be able to operate autonomously and on location. We are a family friendly employer offering flexible hours and salary packaging opportunities. The time fraction for this job is negotiable up to 1.0 FTE. Salary range is $80,000 to 90,000 per annum plus SGC based on time fraction, experience and qualifications. This position is initially for 12 months with funding extensions possible based on client demand.
