Position Purpose

Reporting to the Regional Clinical Manager, this progressive role of Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner of Behaviour Support Practitioners/Behaviour Therapists whilst continuing to conduct assessments, write behavioural support plans and programs, and assist with the implementation of plans. This role allows you to work in a person-centred approach using the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis and Positive Behaviour Support.  We engage with people across the lifespan in the home, community, and school/workplace settings providing varied mediums of engagement. A small caseload may be required; however, this role really allows both your clinical and leadership skills to flourish.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans
  • Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions after assessment and diagnosis 
  • Provide training, support and clinical supervision of Behaviour Support Practitioners/Behaviour Therapists
  • Use behavioural, psychological and evidence-based theories to develop and implement program designs and interventions
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Adhere to NDIS quality and safeguard commission requirements

 

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support e.g. Psychology
  • Minimum of three years’ experience demonstrating provision of positive behaviour support services
  • Demonstrated and effective time management skills including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities set in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of oral and written communication skills including the demonstrated ability to prepare and finalise technical reports
  • Compliance checks including the NDIS Workers Screening Check, National Criminal History Check and any relevant State-issued WWCC/WWVP cards
  • COVID19 Vaccination Digital Certificate, inclusive of mandated booster vaccinations as directed by State Government and NDIS mandates
  • Valid Driver Licence
