About the role:
Working with one of our well-known not-for-profit clients, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of practitioners to deliver high-quality, safe and effective responses to children, young people and families experiencing family violence through triage, assessment, crisis response service planning and more.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide immediate response and support services to children, young people and families experiencing family violence
  • Develop collaborative relationships with other agencies
  • Deliver services and support via phone, onsite or outreach and clients’ home and/or other sites
  • Identify, assess, and prioritise risk and needs of clients drawing on the expertise of different practitioners in a multidisciplinary team

Skills and abilities:

  • Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification
  • Experience as a practitioner in the child, youth, and family sector
  • A commitment to the family-centred approach and the family strengthening and empowerment models of practice especially in the context of family violence
  • Understanding of MARAM framework, the Family Violence Protection Act 2008 and the Child, Youth and Family Act 2005 is desirable
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
