Our clinic is situated in the heart of Shellharbour City a short walk to the main shopping centre and a short drive from Wollongong or Kiama. We have nearby accessible all-day parking and should you like to take a brief nature experience throughout the day there are parks and local beaches nearby.

About the position:

We are a team of eleven, comprising eight psychologists delivering psychological services across the lifespan to people of the Illawarra. The position entails a combination of clinical work and providing support to the clinical team to help them flourish in their professional careers. Working closely with the practice owner, you will provide support on operational matters to maintain a high standard of service delivery to help more people well.

The position has flexible workplace options with hours and days negotiable, we have options to work during school hours, evenings or weekends, and work from home.

 

About You: 

  • Registered psychologist
  • Board approved supervisor registered with AHPRA
  • Provide clinical leadership, consultation, and expertise to the clinical team
  • Monitor and lead the ongoing development and improvement of clinical services
  • Lead and participate in meetings and supervision that contributes to high outcomes for clients
  • Demonstrated skill and experience in providing a broad range of evidence-based psychological interventions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Desirable

  • Hold an area of practice endorsement
  • Proven ability of leadership
  • Experience in psychological assessment
  • Excellent formal report writing skills
  • Experience in the treatment of trauma
  • Private practice experience
